OLG Recruitment are currently looking for a Technology Manager for our client located in Scunthorpe. This is a full-time permanent position.

As a Technology Manager you will lead a skilled technical team and have cross-functional influence, ensuring that the ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 quality standards are consistently applied, maintained, and evolved through a maturing Quality Management System (QMS). You will lead the charge in improving process efficiencies and embedding a quality-first culture across the site. You will take a strategic approach to interpreting current and future customer requirements, translating these into robust, achievable mill standards that ensure operational excellence and compliance.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Commercial, Technical, and Customer Service teams to drive product development and business transformation projects.
  • Work alongside external professional bodies to represent the company added-value products and help steer the business toward emerging technologies and innovations.
  • Oversee and develop our Lean Six Sigma programme, coaching teams and refining data analysis practices to uncover further opportunities for operational improvement and growth.

Qualifications

  • A degree in a materials science, metallurgy, or related scientific discipline.
  • Extensive experience in a technical leadership role within heavy industry or manufacturing.
  • A strong understanding of IATF 16949 standards and associated core quality tools.
