The Environmental, Health and Safety Lead is responsible for ensuring compliance with global environmental regulations and overseeing workplace health and safety programs. The role manages compliance for packaging & electronics recycling, and related regulatory requirements, coordinates employee Health & Safety training, and supports supplier quality administration for Stock Action Requests (SAR), Requests for Concession (RFC), and Environmental Health & Safety administrative activities.
Responsibilities:
- Manage global environmental compliance programs to ensure compliance with applicable environmental regulations, including packaging, electronics, batteries recycling, and Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) requirements.
- Monitor changes in environmental legislation and coordinate implementation of new compliance requirements across the business.
- Coordinate environmental reporting, registrations, declarations, and regulatory submissions with external compliance providers and regulatory agencies.
- Support sustainability initiatives through waste reduction, recycling, and environmentally responsible business practices.
- Maintain environmental compliance records, certifications, and supporting documentation.
- Coordinate company Safety programs, including employee training, workplace inspections, and safety awareness initiatives as needed.
- Conduct workplace incident investigations, risk assessments, and corrective actions to promote a safe working environment.
- Process and coordinate Quality & Environmental Health & Safety purchase orders and invoices with the Finance team.
- Promote continuous improvement in environmental compliance and workplace safety while performing other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational, Health & Safety sciences or related discipline.
- 3 - 5 years’ experience in an Environmental, Health and Safety position.
- Knowledge of environmental reporting systems and regulations.
- Experience coordinating Health & Safety training and workplace safety programs.
- Experience coordinating with regulatory agencies, consultants, and third-party compliance providers.
Base Range: £42,800 - £58,800 + Bonus Eligible
