A busy, well‑established recycling facility in Alness is looking for a motivated and dependable Warehouse Operator to join its growing team. This is hands‑on, physical work in a fast‑moving environment where no two days feel the same.
What you’ll be doing
- Switching between picking line and warehouse tasks as needed
- Sorting mixed waste streams such as construction and house‑clearance materials, removing bulky items safely
- Separating materials into the correct bays, including wood, plasterboard, plastics, rocks and blocks
- Handling confidential waste through shredding, along with cable stripping, baling plastics and cardboard, and sorting metals
- Using handheld tools to grade metals and identify ferrous and non‑ferrous materials
Our ideal candidate
- Recent experience in a physical, fast‑paced role and comfortable working on your feet throughout the shift
- Able to follow clear processes and safety instructions, keeping work areas tidy and organised
- Reliable, punctual and confident working as part of a small, supportive team
- Comfortable lifting, moving and sorting materials safely and efficiently
- Positive attitude, willingness to learn and a steady approach to meeting daily targets
Hours & Pay
- Monday to Friday, 7am to 4pm or 8am to 5pm (40 hours per week)
- Occasional Saturday overtime
- £12.21 per hour, with weekend overtime paid at £18.32 per hour
