Work is hands‑on, physical and fast‑paced, and tasks can vary depending on site requirements.
What you would be doing:
- Switching between picking line and warehouse tasks as required
- Sorting mixed waste streams such as construction and house‑clearance materials, removing bulky items safely
- Separating materials into the correct bays (wood, plasterboard, plastics, rocks, blocks etc.)
- Handling confidential waste through shredding, along with cable stripping, baling plastics and cardboard, and sorting metals
- Using handheld tools to grade metals and identify ferrous and non‑ferrous materials
