A long‑established, employee‑owned food manufacturer in the Highlands is looking to appoint a Junior Commercial Account Manager to join their growing Commercial team. This is a permanent role within a values‑driven business known for its commitment to quality, sustainability, and long‑term customer partnerships.
Working closely with senior commercial colleagues, you’ll support the management of key national accounts, assist with onboarding new customers, and contribute to the development of new product ranges. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their commercial career who wants to build strong account management, project coordination, and customer‑facing skills within a supportive team. You’ll be based on site in Alness, with monthly UK travel (including occasional overnight stays), and will work cross‑functionally with supply chain, marketing, finance, and operations.
Key Responsibilities- Support the National Account Manager with day‑to‑day management of the key national account, building strong relationships with customers and internal teams.
- Prepare and support commercial documentation including account plans, sales reports, forecasts, and customer presentations.
- Monitor sales performance, pricing, promotions, competitor activity and wider market trends.
- Analyse sales data to identify opportunities for growth and improved performance.
- Attend customer meetings, capture actions, resolve issues, and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Work collaboratively with supply chain, marketing, finance and other internal teams to support smooth commercial delivery.
- Degree in Business, Marketing, Sales or similar, or relevant commercial experience.
- 1–2 years’ experience in sales, account management or a commercial support role.
- Strong Excel and data analysis skills, with good commercial awareness.
- Confident communicator with the ability to build relationships internally and externally.
- Organised, proactive, and comfortable working with multiple stakeholders.
- Full UK driving licence (required for customer visits).
