About the role
As a Hatchery Husbandry Operative, you’ll play a key role in the daily care and management of freshwater stock across the hatchery sites. Working closely with the Hatchery Manager and Supervisor, you’ll help ensure the health, welfare and development of fish from egg to smolt stage.
What you’ll be doing:
- Feeding, grading, moving and vaccinating stock
- Monitoring fish health and removing mortalities
- Recording data and maintaining site hygiene
- Supporting welfare and environmental standards
- Following health & safety protocols
- Participating in rotational evening duties/on call
