We are recruiting on behalf of a successful and growing Scottish business operating within the aquaculture, food production and processing sector.

With a reputation for quality, sustainability and investing in its people, the business is continuing to grow and is now seeking a HR Administrator to join its team based in Dingwall.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous HR administration experience who is looking to develop their HR career in a supportive environment with exposure to all aspects of the employee lifecycle.

The Opportunity

Working closely with the HR team and operational managers, you will support a diverse workforce across multiple sites and play a key role in ensuring HR processes are delivered accurately, efficiently and professionally.

This is a varied, hands-on role where you'll gain experience across recruitment, onboarding, payroll administration, employee records, training coordination and HR operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage employee records, HR systems and employment documentation, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality and compliance.
  • Support recruitment and onboarding activities, including scheduling and conducting interviews, right-to-work checks and new starter inductions.
  • Prepare and input payroll information, including hours worked, overtime, holidays, absences and employee changes, while supporting payroll queries.
  • Maintain training, absence and holiday records and produce HR reports and management information as required.
  • Provide first-line HR administrative support to employees and managers, assisting with HR queries and employee relations administration.
  • Support wider HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives, contributing to the ongoing development of HR processes across the business.

About You

We're looking for someone who

  • Has previous HR administration experience
  • Possesses excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Is confident using Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Has strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Can handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion
  • Is proactive, adaptable and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment
  • Is working towards a CIPD qualification or is willing to work towards one
  • Is keen to learn, develop and build a long-term career in HR

Experience gained within manufacturing, production, food processing, agriculture, aquaculture or other operational environments would be advantageous but is not essential.

  • Working Hours
  • Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm
  • Flexibility to work up to two days per week outside standard hours to support operational crossover requirements
  • Occasional flexibility for weekend working when required by the business
