Are you a capable Deckhand with your Commercial Powerboat Level 2, looking to take the next step in your marine career? Set in one of Scotland’s most breath‑taking coastal regions, this role offers hands‑on experience aboard landing craft vessels, supporting remote marine operations and contributing to a sustainable food system. You’ll be part of a close‑knit team that values integrity, safety and professional development.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Supporting daily farm operations, including vessel handling, loading and transport
  • Working closely with experienced Skippers and marine staff to learn operational procedures
  • Participating in fish movements, site support and equipment handling
  • Maintaining high standards of safety, welfare, and environmental care
  • Receiving ongoing training to progress toward Skipper responsibilities

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience of working as a deckhand
  • Commercial Powerboat Level 2 qualification
  • A proactive, safety‑conscious mindset and willingness to learn
  • Physical resilience and comfort working outdoors in varied conditions
  • Strong team ethic and clear communication skills
  • A genuine interest in aquaculture and sustainable marine operations

What’s on offer:

  • Starting salary of £27,500 to £29,934 per annum depending on experience and based on 37.5 hours per week, with enhanced overtime rates (1.5x weekdays, 1.75x weekends)

  • Monday to Friday schedule, with weekend rota
