ProMatch is exclusively supporting a leading fresh food manufacturer in the Highlands with an opportunity for a Procurement Manager to lead the procurement function and play a key role in the continued growth of the business. This is a key senior position reporting directly to the Commercial Director, responsible for shaping procurement strategy, leading a small team and ensuring the efficient sourcing of high quality raw materials. The role sits at the heart of the organisation’s culture of Continuous Improvement and involves close collaboration across all departments.
What you’ll be doing:
- Leading procurement strategy, supplier partnerships and long-term sourcing plans
- Managing supplier relationships, contract negotiations and performance monitoring
- Overseeing packaging declarations, compliance reporting and full traceability
- Supporting and leading Continuous Improvement projects across procurement and wider business functions
- Working closely with production, NPD, quality and commercial teams to maintain a seamless supply chain
- Ensuring quality, availability and cost-effective sourcing of all incoming raw materials
What you’ll bring:
- Proven experience within procurement management, ideally within food, FMCG or fresh/perishable goods, though we will also consider strong procurement professionals from other fast-paced sectors.
- Strong commercial awareness with the ability to analyse data, trends and supplier performance
- Excellent communication and relationship building skills across all levels
- Flexibility to travel to supplier sites and others when required
- A structured, organised approach with strong attention to detail and commitment to compliance
- A proactive mindset with a passion for improvement, innovation and sustainable sourcing
- Knowledge of the Scottish salmon or aquaculture sector is beneficial but not essential
