We are looking for a reliable, organised, and customer-focused Warehouse Operative / Driver to join our team in NN3 on a Temp to Perm basis. This role is ideal for someone who can multitask confidently, communicate professionally, and work well both independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
- Stay up to date with all company products and training
- Build detailed product knowledge to confidently select and procure items for builds and spares
- Offload deliveries, check delivery notes, and accurately receive goods into the stock system
- Pick and process stock orders accurately for build boxes, dispatch, or vehicle loading
- Develop strong working relationships with colleagues and suppliers via phone, email, and in person
- Handle customer requests, orders, and complaints professionally and efficiently
- Raise competitive sales quotations and follow up to secure orders
- Source and order non-stock items from suppliers
- Maintain stock levels and ensure inventory accuracy
- Participate in stock takes throughout the year
- Process returned products, including warranty items, in line with company policy
- Maintain organised branch administration, filing, and record-keeping
- Keep the workplace clean and safe, following all health & safety requirements (PPE provided)
- Undertake branch driving duties as required
- Carry out daily vehicle checks, report defects, complete trip logs, and ensure safe loading
- Drive safely and legally at all times
- Keep vehicles clean and tidy
- Maintain accurate delivery records and submit documentation promptly
Qualifications & Experience
- Full UK Driving Licence (essential)
- Good standard of education, including Maths and English
- Proven experience in a similar environment
- Good telephone manner and strong communication skills
- Ability to multitask (stock picking, phone calls, emails)
- Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- FLT experience beneficial (training can be provided)
