Packing Operator
Location: Eastwood, Todmorden
Hours of Work:
- Sunday: 8:00pm - 12:00am
- Monday to Thursday: 4:00pm - 12:00am
- Overtime available
Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour
PROMAN is recruiting a Packing Operator on behalf of a well-established commercial egg supplier based in Todmorden. The company supplies cafés, shops, and other businesses across Liverpool, Manchester, Bradford, Leeds, Sheffield, and the surrounding areas.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Preparing boxes and packaging materials for production
- Packing eggs into cartons and trays, ensuring they are positioned correctly to prevent damage
- Labelling products accurately and ensuring all required regulatory information is included
- Operating packing machinery safely and efficiently
- Palletising and wrapping finished products ready for storage or dispatch
- Maintaining high standards of housekeeping across the production area and machinery
- Assisting with basic stock control and inventory checks
Requirements
- Excellent attention to detail, including the ability to identify cracked or damaged eggs
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills to check batch numbers, dates, and stock quantities
- Physically fit and able to lift boxes weighing up to 20-25kg
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced production and packing environment
