Job Title: Production Operative / Assembly Operative Hours: Days: 07:45-16:00 (39 hours per week) Pay rate: £11.66 TO £12.55 per hour + overtime pay as well. Job Type: Temporary leading to permanent for the right candidate Our client offers the broadest selection of fabric-based conveyor belts, plastic modular belts and power transmission belts available in the industry. Combined with a comprehensive service centre network our client offers an unrivalled solution to various belting needs. Job Role: Key Responsibilities: Prepare and cut belts to customer specifications within a production environment. Use of small hand tools such as: Tape measures, Screw drivers, Saws To read from basic technical drawings To work as a member of the fabrication team, consistently providing high quality products on time, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction both internal and external. Preparation and joining of conveyor/drive and transfer belts in line with quality requirements and standards identified during initial training and specified in technical manuals. Maintain to the highest standard all equipment and tools. Machine feeding Assembly operation Knowledge skills & Attributes: Ability to use hand tools such as small knives, screw drivers, tape measures. Previous experience working on CNC machines is beneficial. Assembly experience Experience in any role involving skilled hand work and DIY skills Must have excellent communication skills Have good understanding of how conveyor belts operate. Physically fit and able.
