Proman Recruitment is currently looking for Counterbalance Operators on behalf of our Client who is one of the largest food co-packers. You would need to be able to work either a 2 shift rota (weekly shift changes) or a fixed night shift.
The Role
- As a forklift truck operator, your main duties would include:
- Loading and unloading goods from vehicles such as lorries or vans
- Moving goods packed on pallets or in crates around the storage facility
- Stacking goods in the correct storage bays, following stock control instructions
- Checking loads are secure
- Stacking empty pallets
- Performing daily equipment checks, for example recharging the truck's battery (if the truck is electric)
The Candidate
- To be successful, you need to:
- Have previous experience in operating Counterbalance truck
- Be punctual and reliable
- Be able to organise and prioritise workload
- Have good numeracy and literacy skills
Successful candidates will be invited to a 60 minute assessment where they will be asked to present a valid FLT Counterbalance certificate/license (RTITB, ITSSAR or equivalent).
