We are currently recruiting for a Material Handler to join a busy manufacturing/processing environment in Oldbury on an initial temporary 3-month contract.

This is a days-based role, working Monday to Friday, supporting packing, unpacking, tanker loading and general material movement across site.

The Role

Working as part of the plant team, you will support day-to-day operations by handling materials safely and efficiently, helping to keep production running smoothly while maintaining high standards of health, safety, environmental compliance and housekeeping.

Key Responsibilities

  • Pack finished products into IBCs and drums.
  • Unpack IBC-based raw materials into storage tanks, ensuring tanks are kept full where required.
  • Move IBCs and drums safely around the site and plant areas.
  • Load product tankers in line with site procedures.
  • Complete all required plant documentation, including packing sheets, loading sheets and housekeeping checklists.
  • Support compliance with all regulatory health, safety and environmental requirements.
  • Follow company standards, procedures and working practices at all times.
  • Assist with other plant duties as required, depending on workload and capability.

Full training will be provided for relevant plant duties.

About You

We are looking for someone who is reliable, safety-conscious and comfortable working in a hands-on plant or manufacturing environment.

Requirements

  • Counterbalance Forklift Truck licence is essential.
  • GCSEs in English, Maths and other subjects are required.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Previous process or chemical handling experience would be highly advantageous.
  • Good IT knowledge, including Microsoft Office, would be advantageous.
  • Pay rate of £20.00 per hour.
  • Monday to Friday working hours: 07:45-16:06.
  • 45-minute unpaid lunch break.
