Class 1 Night Driver – Trunking – Rotherham (S66) – Temp to Perm
Location: Rotherham, S66
Role: HGV Class 1 Driver (C+E) – Nights
Job Type: Ongoing – Temp to Perm
Shifts: Sunday to Friday
Start Times: Between 20:00 – 01:00
Pay Rates (PAYE – Including Holiday Pay):
- Nights (Mon–Fri): £17.40 per hour (£19.51 with holiday pay)
- Sunday: £18.90 per hour (£21.19 with holiday pay)
The Role – Class 1 Night Trunking Driver
We are currently recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 (C+E) Drivers for ongoing night trunking work based in Rotherham (S66). This role involves trunking to RDCs nationwide, with routes covering areas such as Glasgow, Exeter, Southampton, as well as the Midlands, North West, and North East. This is a great opportunity for drivers looking for consistent night work, with a clear path to a permanent position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Night trunking to RDCs across the UK
- Driving both single man and double manned routes
- Offloading at depot using cages, pallets, or collapsible stillages
- Completing vehicle checks and delivery paperwork
- Ensuring deliveries are completed safely and on time
- Adhering to all driver hours and road transport regulations
What We're Looking For:
- Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) Licence
- Minimum 12 months Class 1 experience
- Valid Driver CPC (DQC Card)
- Valid Digital Tachograph Card
- Maximum 6 points (no major endorsements)
- Comfortable with manual handling and offloading
- Reliable, professional, and flexible attitude
