The predicted salary is between 18.55 - 18.55 £ per hour.

Our well-established client is seeking a number of CNC Operators to join its existing team based in Glenrothes (KY6). They specialise in designing, developing and producing radial piston motors working in partnership with world renowned companies in industries such as material handling, construction and forestry machinery.

Shifts available:

  • Continental shift – 46.67 hours per week, 4 days on, 4 days off
  • Day Shift 17:55 - 06:05 with 30 min break (00:00 – 00:30)
  • Night Shift 05:55 - 18:05 with 30 min break (12:00 – 12:30)

Pay rate:

  • Continental Salary (Category C) £45,011.64 per annum - £18.55 per hour
  • 3 shift (Day, Night, Back) – 37 hours per week, 5 days per week
  • Day Shift 06:00 – 14:05 with 20 min break (10:00 – 10:20) Mon-Thurs
  • Night Shift 21:50 – 06:10 with 20 min break (02:00 – 02:20) Mon-Thurs
  • Back Shift 13:55 – 22:00 with 20 min break (18:00 – 18:20) Mon-Thurs

Pay rate 3 Shift Salary (Category C) £36,209.53 per annum - £18.82 per hour

Experience and Capabilities:

  • Experience in using Fanuc & Siemens control system and the use of CMM equipment would be beneficial
  • Ability to work to close tolerances, interpret engineering drawings and read CNC programmes
  • Flexible approach to working hours and duties
  • Ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team
  • Knowledge of machines, cutting speeds and feeds, geometric tolerances and tooling
  • Experience of working within a multifunctional engineering company
  • Able to demonstrate initiative and strong organisational skills
  • Machining Apprenticeship & relevant experience

Job Description:

  • Operating CNC Machinery – including lathes, machining centres and multi-axis machines
  • Production of precision measuring equipment and tooling
  • Quality checking and inspection of own work including first off and subsequent quality checks
  • Ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards throughout production
  • Being responsible for maintaining a clean, tidy and safe working area
  • Observing and following the company's Health and Safety policy
  • Observing and following the company's Environmental policy
