The Opportunity
Winsearch are working in partnership with a well-established aerospace manufacturing business to recruit experienced Airframe / Aerospace Fitters to support ongoing growth and programme demand. This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-performing team operating within a precision, quality-driven environment, where you will be working on complex structural assemblies to aerospace standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out airframe and structural assembly activities in line with engineering drawings and specifications
- Perform drilling, countersinking and riveting to aerospace standards
- Use sealants and carry out assembly processes in accordance with work instructions
- Install helicoils, bearings, bushes and associated components
- Ensure all work is completed to the highest quality standards and within required tolerances
- Maintain a safe working environment, adhering to all HSE and 5S standards
- Work collaboratively with production and quality teams to achieve delivery targets
Requirements
- Previous experience within an aerospace or airframe assembly environment
- Strong understanding of aerospace drawings and specifications
- Proven hands-on experience with:
- Drilling and countersinking
- Riveting
- Use of sealants
- Installation of helicoils, bearings and bushes
- Ability to work to tight tolerances and high-quality standards
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to right-first-time workmanship
Selection Process
Successful candidates will be required to complete a trade test as part of the second-stage interview, demonstrating their ability to carry out assembly processes to aerospace quality standards.
