Despatch Operative - PM Shift Worcester £14.98 per hour, increasing to £15.54 after 12 weeks Average 39 hours per week | Weekly Pay | Overtime Available PROMAN are recruiting Despatch Operatives to join a leading manufacturer in Worcester. Our client is a market leader in heating and hot water solutions and is looking for reliable, motivated people to join their busy Despatch Department on the PM shift. This is a hands-on role involving the movement, checking, preparation and loading of customer orders ready for despatch. You will also use a range of Material Handling Equipment (MHE), including T20 pallet trucks and VNA (Very Narrow Aisle) Forklift Trucks, with training provided where required. Pay Rates £14.98 per hour for the first 12 weeks £15.54 per hour after 12 weeks Overtime Monday to Saturday: x1.5 Overtime Sunday: x2 Weekly pay Working Hours PM shift Average 39 hours per week Shifts start at either 13:00 or 14:00, depending on workload Hours can vary between 24 and 45 per week depending on business requirements Flexibility with working hours and overtime is required What You'll Be Doing Working within the Despatch Department, you will help ensure customer orders leave site accurately, safely and on time. Your duties will include: Checking and preparing customer orders for despatch Verifying quantities against picking lists and despatch paperwork Inspecting products for damage before they are shipped Moving goods and materials throughout the despatch area Safely stacking and securing products ready for transportation Loading and unloading goods Operating MHE, including pallet trucks and VNA trucks, once trained and authorised Identifying and reporting damaged goods or stock discrepancies Working closely with warehouse, logistics and production teams Maintaining high levels of accuracy and attention to detail Keeping your working area clean, safe and organised Following all company health and safety procedures What We're Looking For We're looking for people who are: Reliable, hardworking and motivated Comfortable working in a busy, fast-paced environment Able to complete physical and manual handling duties Accurate with good attention to detail Flexible with working hours and overtime when required Good team players with a positive attitude Committed to maintaining good attendance and timekeeping Willing to undertake MHE training as required Previous experience within despatch, warehousing, logistics, manufacturing, production or goods in/out would be advantageous, but isn't essential as training will be provided.
