Salary: £35,500 per annum (48‑hour week)
The Role: As a Class 1 Driver, you will be responsible for carrying out scheduled collections and deliveries of materials, ensuring a professional and secure service to customers at all times. Duties will include:
- Carrying out collections and deliveries in line with daily schedules
- Providing a professional, customer-focused service on-site
- Completing vehicle checks and maintenance logs
- Following job instructions, including weighing or recording materials where required
- Ensuring all paperwork and documentation is completed accurately
- Making sure the vehicle is clean, secure, and well maintained
- Operating equipment where required (full training provided)
- Adhering to all DVLA, VOSA and health & safety regulations
- Supporting with manual handling and lifting as part of the role
Requirements:
- Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence
- Minimum 12 months Class 1 experience
- Valid CPC & Digital Tachograph card
- No more than 6 penalty points (no major endorsements)
- Good understanding of UK road regulations and safety standards
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and customer‑focused attitude
