CNC Machine operators required to start ASAP in Barnsley S75!
Shift availability:
- Day shift - Pay: £13.31 per hour to start with, up to £15.71 per hour once trained to a Grade 3 level.
- Shifts: Monday-Thursday 6am-4pm to start with, some flexibility might be needed with the shifts.
Full training and ongoing support provided.
Temp - Perm contract with the company.
Progression opportunities once permanent with the company.
You will operate a range of woodworking machinery (mainly CNC machines) to support the production of timber products. This includes:
- Setting up and running machines
- Loading raw materials
- Monitoring performance
- Carrying out basic adjustments
You will complete regular quality checks on finished pieces, ensure measurements and cuts are accurate, and report any defects or issues. Keeping your work area tidy, safe, and machine-ready is a key part of the role.
Requirements:
- Machine operating experience (woodworking or manufacturing)
- Previous experience on HOMAG CNC machines desirable, but not essential
- Willingness to be flexible with the shift timings
