CNC Machine operators required to start ASAP in Barnsley S75!
Shift availability: Day shift - Pay: £13.31 per hour to start with, up to £15.71 per hour once trained to a Grade 3 level. Shifts: Monday-Thursday 6am-4pm to start with, some flexibility might be needed with the shifts.
Full training and ongoing support provided. Temp - Perm contract with the company. Progression opportunities once permanent with the company.
You will operate a range of woodworking machinery (mainly CNC machines) to support the production of timber products. This includes:
- Setting up and running machines
- Loading raw materials
- Monitoring performance
- Carrying out basic adjustments
- Completing regular quality checks on finished pieces
- Ensuring measurements and cuts are accurate
- Reporting any defects or issues
- Keeping your work area tidy, safe, and machine-ready
Machine operating experience (woodworking or manufacturing) is required. Previous experience on HOMAG CNC machines is desirable, but not essential. Willingness to be flexible with the shift timings is necessary.
