The Role: As a forklift truck operator, your main duties would include:
- performing other warehouse tasks like picking, packing and despatch when needed
- moving goods packed on pallets or in crates around the storage facility
- stacking goods in the correct storage bays, following supervisors instructions
- checking loads are secure
- stacking empty pallets
- performing daily equipment checks, for example recharging the truck's battery (if the truck is electric)
- helping to load and unload trucks by hand where necessary
The shifts:
- Day shift: Rotating 1 week AM(6am-2pm Monday to Friday) 2 week PM (2pm-10pm Monday to Friday) £14.24/Hour with one hour early finish on Friday. 39 hours paid a week (Breaks paid).
- Night Shift: Monday to Thursday 10pm-6am and Friday 11pm-6am £15.12/hour. 39 hours paid a week (Breaks paid).
The Candidate: To be successful, you need to:
- have a valid license/certificate to operate FLT trucks (Counterbalance)-RTITB, ITSSAR or equivalent
- be punctual and reliable
- be able to organise and prioritise workload
- have good numeracy and literacy skills
