Our client TOYOTA is looking for a Production Operative to join the team at their vehicle manufacturing plant in Burnaston, Derby. Pay Rates:
- £15.83 per hour including average shift premium. £32,103 per annum
- £13.59 per hour Base rate
- +£1.13 Shift allowance mornings
- +£3.36 Shift allowance Lates
- Overtime can be called up to 45 minutes on the early shift and up to 2 hours on late shift. Please note there can be occasional weekend overtime
- Overtime is paid at a premium: Time and third for the first two hours and time and a half thereafter.
Hours of work:
- 39 hours per week, working a two-shift pattern, rotating weekly:
- Earlies: 06:00 to 14:18
- Lates: 15:20 to 23:38
- You will need to attend a 15-minute briefing prior to the start of your shift.

Job Description:
Production began here in 1992 and Toyota Manufacturing UK is now the sole European supplier for the Corolla hybrid, and the sole global supplier for the Toyota Corolla Touring Sports with 130,000 cars per year being manufactured here at this impressive plant. Toyota is working towards being 100% Carbon Neutral by 2025.
You will join our production team responsible for building the Toyota Corolla. You will be working within one of our main production areas, either Body shop, Paint shop, Plastics shop, or Assembly shop. In addition, we are also hiring into the Business Revenue Centre for Used Vehicle Refurbishments and accessory fitting. This position is perfect for those with prior experience as a production operative or warehouse operative.
- Working on our production operative line, running one of our manufacturing processes, building an element of the vehicle.
- Confirming quality and inspection.
- Taking ownership for improving the condition of your process.
- Raising and implementing improvement ideas.
You will receive a one-week induction learning the skills needed to work on the production operative line and a 4-week ramp-up plan where you will be trained by an experienced Toyota Member.
