PROMAN is currently recruiting for an experienced Punch Press Operator to join our client's busy manufacturing team. This is an excellent opportunity to work for a well-established company offering competitive pay, a structured shift pattern, and long-term opportunities for the right candidate.

Pay Rate: £15.25 per hour

Working Hours: 4 on, 4 off shift pattern, 07:00 - 19:00. Two unpaid 45-minute breaks per shift.

What is a Punch Press Operator? A Punch Press Operator works with specialist machinery used to cut, shape, and punch holes into sheet metal to create a variety of products and components. You will be responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring machines to ensure parts are manufactured accurately and to a high-quality standard.

Don't worry if you've only worked on one type of machine. Experience operating similar equipment is highly transferable.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience operating Trumpf Punch Press Machines
  • Experience operating Salvagnini Punch Press Machines
  • Experience with Amada Machines (highly desirable and transferable experience)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operating and monitoring punch press machinery
  • Producing components to specification and quality standards
  • Performing routine machine checks and basic maintenance
  • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings where required
  • Maintaining a safe and clean working environment
  • Working efficiently to meet production targets
