If the answers are yes, we are hiring for a High Voltage Technician / HV Engineer to join a specialist electrical engineering business supporting industrial and power sector clients across the UK.

You will be involved in a mix of installation, commissioning, testing, fault finding and maintenance activities on electrical distribution infrastructure, working alongside experienced HV professionals on safety-critical projects.

WHAT YOU NEED...

  • Time-served electrical apprenticeship or relevant electrical engineering qualification
  • Experience working on HV and LV electrical systems
  • Testing, commissioning, maintenance or installation experience
  • Fault finding and troubleshooting capability
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and technical documentation
  • Knowledge of electrical safety procedures, permits to work and site compliance requirements
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Experience within industrial, utilities, manufacturing, renewables, process or power generation environments

Day To Day

  • Carry out HV and LV installation activities
  • Complete planned and reactive maintenance tasks
  • Commission electrical distribution equipment
  • Perform testing and inspection activities
  • Diagnose and rectify electrical faults
  • Produce technical reports and service documentation
  • Support project delivery teams on customer sites
  • Ensure all work is completed to safety and compliance standards
  • Communicate technical findings with customers and stakeholders
