About the Role

Winsearch is recruiting an experienced Quality Inspector on behalf of a leading manufacturing organisation based in Hull. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented quality professional to join a high-performing team and play a key role in ensuring product quality, compliance and customer satisfaction. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out precise measurement activities, analysing inspection data, maintaining calibration systems and supporting quality assurance processes across the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out dimensional inspections using a range of precision measuring equipment, including CMMs, digital callipers and height gauges.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, CAD models and GD T specifications.
  • Complete Initial Sample Inspection Reports (ISIRs).
  • Conduct and support Measurement Systems Analysis (MSA) studies, including Gauge R R.
  • Analyse inspection data and investigate dimensional discrepancies.
  • Produce accurate quality documentation and customer reports.
  • Support the calibration and maintenance of measurement equipment across site.
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards, procedures and customer requirements.
  • Assist with annual validation activities and continuous improvement projects.
  • Work closely with manufacturing and quality teams to maintain high product standards.

About You

Essential Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Quality Inspector, Metrologist or within a measurement laboratory environment.
  • Experience using CMM equipment and other precision measuring tools.
  • Knowledge of PPAP processes and control plans.
  • Ability to interpret 2D and 3D engineering drawings, including GD T.
  • Understanding of quality management systems and industry standards.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Good IT and reporting capabilities.
  • Experience working within a manufacturing environment.
  • CMM training or relevant measurement experience.

Desirable Skills Experience

  • Experience inspecting plastic injection-moulded components.
  • Understanding of injection moulding processes.
  • Knowledge of the wider PPAP framework.
  • Experience using laser scanning or vision systems.
  • Mechanical engineering qualifications.
  • Additional metrology or measurement software training.
