  • About the Opportunity

Winsearch Recruitment is currently recruiting for two Trainee Sheet Metal Workers on behalf of our aerospace manufacturing client.

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with existing sheet metal fabrication experience who are looking to develop their skills and progress into the highly regulated aerospace sector.

Successful candidates will receive structured training and mentoring, allowing them to advance from general or commercial sheet metal work into aerospace-standard manufacturing practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work safely at all times, adhering to company Health & Safety procedures and established 5S workplace standards.
  • Interpret and work from engineering drawings and technical documentation.

• Carry out sheet metal fabrication activities including

  • Marking out
  • Bending and forming
  • Drilling
  • Manufacture and assemble components from thin gauge aluminium and steel materials (typically less than 2mm thickness).
  • Maintain quality standards and ensure work is completed accurately and efficiently.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development programmes to achieve aerospace manufacturing standards.
  • Support continuous improvement activities within the production environment.
  • Required Skills & Experience

• Previous sheet metal experience is essential, including

  • Marking out
  • Bending/forming
  • Drilling
  • Experience working with thin gauge aluminium and/or steel materials (less than 2mm thickness).
  • Ability to read, interpret and understand engineering drawings.
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
  • Positive attitude with a commitment to quality and safety.
  • Reliable, punctual and capable of working effectively as part of a team.
