Job Description Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician – Electrical Bias Job Type: Temporary until Christmas initially Pay Rate: £27 per hour Shift Pattern: 6am-6pm/6pm-6am – 2 days/2 nights on, 6 days off Manufacturing / Process Engineering Are you an electrically biased Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician looking for a temporary role through to Christmas with a well-established paper manufacturing business? This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established engineering team, working on complex process machinery in a safety-focused, supportive environment. Carry out planned, preventative and predictive maintenance on paper machine equipment and associated plant. Work to engineering KPIs with a “fix it for good” mindset. Support continuous improvement activity across the engineering function. Support the development and implementation of condition-based maintenance programmes. Work with PLC-controlled systems, Siemens equipment, inverter drives, pneumatic and hydraulic components. Carry out planned preventative maintenance, predictive maintenance and reactive repairs on manufacturing and process equipment. Diagnose electrical, mechanical and instrumentation faults and resolve issues to root cause. Support safe and efficient operation of paper machine and associated plant equipment. Work with PLC-controlled equipment, Siemens systems, inverter drives, pneumatics and hydraulics. Contribute to condition-based maintenance programmes and continuous improvement activity. Work to engineering KPIs with a focus on long-term, sustainable repairs. Qualified electrical engineer or technician, ideally with a recognised electrical engineering apprenticeship. City & Guilds, NVQ or equivalent engineering qualification preferred. Proven electrical and mechanical maintenance experience within a manufacturing or process environment. Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills across complex automated manufacturing systems. Good PC skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word and Project Mobile Elevated Working Platforms licence. Experience within papermaking or similar process manufacturing environments.
