A well-established specialist contractor within the roofing, cladding and building envelope sector is seeking an experienced Estimator (Metal & Flat Roofing) to join its growing commercial team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an estimator with experience in metal roofing, flat roofing or related envelope systems to play a key role in securing profitable projects and supporting continued business growth.

Working closely with commercial, technical and operational teams, you will be responsible for producing accurate, competitive tenders from initial enquiry through to submission and project handover.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce accurate and competitive estimates for metal and flat roofing projects.
  • Complete detailed take-offs and quantity measurements from drawings, specifications and site information.
  • Source and assess quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Build detailed labour, plant and material rates for roofing systems.
  • Review tender documentation and identify risks, exclusions and commercial opportunities.
  • Develop well-presented tender submissions within required timescales.
  • Identify value engineering opportunities and alternative solutions.
