Winsearch is proud to partner with a growing specialist façade contractor looking to appoint an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to strengthen its commercial team.
This is a senior, hands-on position requiring a proven commercial background within the façade or cladding subcontract sector. You'll take ownership of multiple projects from tender handover through to final account, working with minimal supervision while supporting the development of junior commercial staff.
The Role
Reporting to the Commercial Director, you'll manage the commercial performance of several façade projects at different stages.
Packages may include curtain walling, rainscreen cladding, architectural glazing, SFS and fire-rated façade systems.
You'll work closely with design, procurement and project-delivery teams to manage package scope, control change, maintain accurate forecasts and protect the commercial position of the business.
This is not a step-up role. My client needs an established Senior Quantity Surveyor who can manage numerous projects autonomously and produce accurate, high-quality work without routine checking.
What You'll Be Doing
- Managing multiple façade projects from tender handover to final account
- Reviewing package scope, contract terms, qualifications and budgets
- Producing CVRs, forecasts and detailed commercial reports
- Managing project costs, cash flow and anticipated final outcomes
- Administering JCT and NEC contracts in practice
- Issuing contractual notices within xgikmsk required timescales
- Managing variations, compensation events and claims
- Maintaining accurate change, risk and commercial registers
- Leading subcontractor and supplier procurement
- Preparing and issuing tender enquiries
- Reviewing quotations, exclusions and commercial qualifications
- Negotiating subcontract terms, rates and final accounts
