We are currently recruiting for HGV Class 1 (C+E) Drivers to join a well-established and busy transport operation based in the DE55 area. With a 24/7 operation, we have a variety of work available including day shifts, night shifts, and tramping roles, offering consistent hours and strong earning potential.

The Role: As a Class 1 Driver, you will be responsible for safe and efficient deliveries across the UK, working within a well-organised logistics operation. Duties include:

  • Completing deliveries and collections nationwide
  • Managing up to 5 drops per shift (max)
  • Ensuring all deliveries are completed on time and professionally
  • Carrying out vehicle checks before and after shifts
  • Completing delivery paperwork and logs accurately
  • Ensuring loads are safe and secure at all times
  • Following all driving hours and road safety regulations

No handball involved – straightforward work.

Shift Patterns:

  • Days: Early starts between 04:00 – 06:00
  • Nights available
  • Tramping roles available (with night out allowance)
  • Operates 24/7, offering flexibility and consistent work
  • Average 50–60 hours per week

Pay Rates:

  • Days: £16.50 per hour (£18.50 with holiday pay)
  • Nights: £17.50 per hour (£19.62 with holiday pay)
  • Saturday: £18.50 per hour (£20.74 with holiday pay)
  • Sunday: £20.00 per hour (£22.42 with holiday pay)

Tramping:

  • Modern, well-maintained fleet (Renault 71, 22 & 23 plate trucks)
  • All trampers equipped with microwave & fridge for comfort on nights out

Requirements:

  • Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence
  • Valid CPC & Digital Tachograph card
  • Maximum 6 penalty points (no major endorsements)
  • Reliable, professional, and flexible attitude
