About the role
We're looking for a part-qualified Management Accountant to join our UK finance team. This is a hands-on role with real ownership, designed for someone actively studying towards ACCA, CIMA or ACA, and wanting to develop strong technical foundations within a supportive, people-focused finance function. Reporting into the Financial Reporting Manager, you'll take ownership of key areas of month-end, compliance preparation, and weekly management reporting, while also mentoring an Assistant Management Accountant. This is a hybrid role based at our Trafford Park office, with flexibility to work from home two days per week.
Overview of the role
- Owning key areas of month-end close and balance sheet control
- Preparing compliance data (VAT, PAYE, Corporation Tax)
- Producing and delivering weekly gross margin reports
- Improving finance processes and supporting ad-hoc projects
- Mentoring and supporting an Assistant Management Accountant
About you
- Actively studying towards ACCA, CIMA, or ACA.
- Previous experience in a management accounting, assistant management accountant, or similar finance role.
- Confident using Excel for reconciliations and reporting (experience with Power Query is a plus, but not essential).
- Strong attention to detail, with a genuine sense of ownership over your work.
- Comfortable explaining numbers to finance and non-finance colleagues and responding to ad-hoc questions.
- Organised, reliable, and able to work to tight deadlines – particularly around month-end and weekly reporting cycles.
What's in it for you
- Competitive salary, depending on experience
- Study support for professional accounting qualifications
- Hybrid working (2 days from home)
- Pension scheme
- 24/7 online GP access
- Wellbeing support through our Employee Assistance Programme
- Structured onboarding, mentoring, and ongoing professional development
- A collaborative, values-driven culture where your contribution is recognised
