An exciting opportunity has arisen for a proactive and detail-driven Paraplanner to join the Financial Planning team. This role allows you to make a real impact by supporting advisers and clients with a wide range of financial planning needs.
Approximately 75-80% of your time will be spent preparing suitability reports, supporting documentation, and client correspondence. The remainder of the role involves research, compliance checks, and contributing to efficiency and process improvements within the team.
Work closely with advisers to ensure client recommendations are accurate, compliant, and actionable. Work will be based in the Blackburn office, with flexibility for hybrid working under the firm's flexible working policy.
Key Responsibilities- Research financial products, funds, and solutions to support client advice
- Prepare suitability reports, supporting documentation, and client correspondence
- Identify opportunities and areas for improvement within client portfolios
- Assist advisers with pre-sale compliance checks and project work
- Support the adoption of AI tools and other technology to improve efficiency and productivity
- Contribute to process improvements and innovation within the Financial Planning team
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in paraplanning
- Financial Planning qualifications or actively working towards them
- Experience in pension switches, group pensions, cashflow modelling, investment and protection advice, inheritance tax planning
- Comfortable using AI and other tools to support paraplanning work
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage a busy, changing workload
- Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, and ideally financial planning software and tools
- Minimum GCSE passes in Maths and English
- Team player with a commitment to long-term professional development
