Our client is a well-established chartered accountancy, business advisory, and financial planning firm with offices in Blackburn and Bury. Renowned across the North West, the firm delivers integrated services – including audit, accounts, corporate finance, cloud accounting, tax, payroll, and financial planning – enabling teams to work collaboratively and provide seamless, joined‑up advice to clients.
What you will be doing
- Manage and deliver audit and accounts assignments from planning to completion
- Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with FRS 102 and FRS 102‑1A
- Provide technical accounting support to clients and the team
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring high-quality service
- Supervise, mentor, and support the development of junior staff members
- Contribute to process improvements, quality assurance, and operational efficiency
- Oversee budgets, client invoicing, and fee collection
- Collaborate with directors and partners to achieve departmental and firm objectives
What we're looking for
- Extensive experience within accountancy practice (audit or mixed audit/accounts)
- Proven experience managing a portfolio of clients and supervising teams
- Strong technical accounting knowledge and commercial awareness
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- ACA / ACCA qualified
