Product Lead for Enterprise Scalability

As our new Product Lead at Prolific, you will take your place as one of the leaders of Prolific’s Product, Research, and Design Group. We’re looking for someone pivotal to drive impact and outcomes for our Enterprise Scalability Product Group, overseeing areas and initiatives like payments infrastructure, security, accounts, authorisation and API uplift. You’ll report to the VP of Product and work closely with our software engineers, Platform team, InfoSec, Finance, and other Product Groups. Our Enterprise Scalability Group stabilises, modernises and scales our infrastructure and systems to give us a competitive edge.

Initially, you’ll be product and programme managing the strategy and impact of the Group, as well as your own stream-aligned team within it. Eventually, you’ll also have people management responsibilities for Product Managers joining the Group. Strong skills in systems analysis, programme, and project management are key. We expect you to demonstrate reliability, grit, diplomacy, a bias for action, and a strong focus on value, and we’d love for you to champion these behaviours within the team. You’ll also be given a lot of trust, accountability, and autonomy, as is always the case within Product at Prolific.

What you’ll be doing:

• You’ll bring your extensive product and programme management career experience to bear to solve deep-domain technical user problems and create new opportunities for users to fall in love with the experience of using Prolific.
• You’ll build on our great roots to help elevate Prolific’s Product Management team into a world-leading one, known for their approach to making bets and building products that customers love and which drive commercial value for our business.
• You’ll spend a lot of your time coaching behaviours and skills, and modeling game-changing approaches by directly doing.
• You will be an unblocker and simplifier of complexity: colleagues will bring you problems, and emerge optimistic, and with clarity.
• You’ll partner productively with Engineers and Engineering leadership, compliance folks, and central functions like Finance and Ops to find ways to deliver deep-domain or complex technical products in valuable and validating slices.

What you’ll bring:

• Deep passion and comfort in payments, accounts and authorisation, or comparable deep domains that put you in a strong position to lead and deliver complex and meaningful infrastructural improvement.
• Competence or expertise in most or all of: The industry’s prevailing Product tools, models and methodologies, hands-on experience of Agile frameworks, Continuous Discovery, CI/CD, JTBD frameworks, thin or vertical slicing, self-organising teams, Team Topologies, advocacy of ‘thinking in bets,’ test-learn-iterate loops, and project or programme management.
• Strong data literacy and true data-driven decision-making and the ability to coach this.
• People management or extensive coaching experience, with a track record of success in developing world-class technologists.
• You are a natural storyteller, someone that can take otherwise difficult or complex technical pieces and weave them together in engaging and interesting ways that makes audiences lean in and engage!

• Scale-up or startup experience.
• AI training or AI development experience.
• A track record of giving back to your Product community.
