The role
As an Academic Research Advisor, you will be the first point of contact for Prolific’s academic researchers when they need support. This includes advising on participant recruitment and study design, troubleshooting and resolving errors, and striving for the best data quality for our researchers. You’ll bring both knowledge and passion for research, and we’ll give you the training and tools so that you can support our academics throughout their research journey.
As you grow into the role, you\’ll have the opportunity to broaden your scope of work. This could include being a named contact for a group of renowned academic institutions and representing the voice of our customers in company discussions.
What you’ll be doing
- Supporting our academics with running their research on Prolific, including advising them on study design, participant recruitment, and best practices for data quality.
- Appreciating that every project and researcher is unique and so treating every interaction with the same respect and care, whether it’s a small dissertation study or a large-scale project.
- Providing a great user experience so that our researchers come back to Prolific through every stage of their academic career.
- Guiding institutions through the procurement process and onboarding with Prolific.
- Advocating for our users by using insights gained through researcher interactions to contribute towards platform improvements.
- Helping optimize our internal processes, through, e.g., suggesting changes to policies or systems to ensure we continuously improve the support we provide.

- Strong understanding of the academic research space.
- Experience running or supporting research projects.

- An interest in behavioral science, scientific research, human data collection, and AI technology.
