About the Sales & Marketing Executive Role:
We are looking for a proactive and commercially minded Sales & Marketing Executive to join our growing Commercial team. This is a varied role that sits at the heart of the business, providing the link between Marketing, Sales and our customers.
You will help turn marketing activity into tangible commercial opportunities by managing incoming leads via phone, email and live chat. You will also be executing outbound campaigns, maintaining the CRM and providing day-to-day support to the Marketing and Sales team. The successful candidate will become knowledgeable about Prolectric’s products, target markets and customers and will be expected to understand customer requirements and identify opportunities where Prolectric’s solutions can provide value.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop a broad career across both sales and marketing within a growing renewable energy technology business. This role reports to the Head of Marketing and is full-time based out of our Clevedon office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and qualify incoming leads – ensuring enquiries are responded to promptly and progressed through the sales process. Provide a strong and detailed handover to sales team once leads have met criteria
- Manage and maintain the CRM – ensuring accurate data, effective lead tracking, reporting and ongoing process improvements. Assist with implementing CRM workflows, automation and customer journeys.
- Manage and nurture leads – Ensure leads generated through events, campaigns, webinars and other marketing activity are captured and followed up.
- Execute sales and marketing campaigns – including email campaigns, lead nurturing, customer communications and campaign follow-up.
- Provide sales support – including presentations, sales collateral, customer research, proposals and tender support.
- Support day-to-day marketing operations – including databases, suppliers, purchase orders, reporting and general project administration.
About You:
- Confident answering incoming phone calls in a busy office and manage enquiries
- Ability to manage multiple incoming lead channels simultaneously with high attention to detail and note taking.
- Proactive in learning and keeping up to date with the features of our products and those of our competitors.
- Comfortable using CRM software to manage, maintain and improve the database of
- Maintain a log of which prospects have been contacted, the outcome of each interaction and schedule any necessary follow ups.
- Clear & accurate when creating briefing notes for the Business Development Managers when handing over
- Motivated by achieving and exceeding monthly KPI’s.
- Confident in following up lapsed leads to gather their feedback and communicate insights to the wider
- Collaborative and willing to support additional initiatives and projects as needed to contribute to business growth
Skills, knowledge and experience:
- Minimum 2 yrs demonstrated experience in a sales support, lead generation, marketing or customer service role.
- Excellent external communication skills with an ability to nurture leads and develop relationships with potential customers.
- Confident in answering inbound sales calls effectively.
- Able to demonstrate an ability to grow and develop the customer base.
- Ability to report against key performance indicators and provide insightful commentary on
- Experience using CRM systems to manage leads and
- Strong organisational skills to effectively manage competing priorities.
- Good numeracy skills, confident using a PC for communication, planning, forecasting, and presenting.
- Excellent computer literacy including Microsoft Word, Excel and
- Experience in renewable energy, construction or manufacturing environment would advantageous.
