Projekto is a bespoke residential construction company delivering high-quality new build homes, extensions, and renovations projects across Dundee, Angus and North East Fife.

We are seeking a highly organised and experienced individual with a joinery background, to oversee the daily construction activities across our portfolio of projects. The Site/Construction Manager helps to ensure each project is delivered safely, on time, on budget, and to Projekto’s premium design and craftsmanship standards. The individual will have a strong technical knowledge of residential construction methods and experience delivering bespoke new build homes to a high standard.

Role Description / Duties

  • Manage and coordinate daily activities on 2-5 live residential projects at any one time
  • Adhere to and maintain practical build programmes and weekly/monthly look-ahead schedules
  • Plan and coordinate in house labour, joiners, and subcontractors across all sites
  • Identify risks, delays, or issues early and implement solutions

Site Management & Quality Control

  • Regularly visit all live sites to maintain control and standards
  • Act as the senior on-site authority when present
  • Ensure all works meet Projekto’s quality expectations and specifications
  • Resolve technical issues on site using drawings and details
  • Lead snagging, pre-handover inspections, and final quality checks
  • Lead and coordinate the in-house joinery team across multiple projects
  • Set expectations around workmanship, attitude, and professionalism
  • Deal with site issues constructively
  • Promote a positive, organised site culture
  • Coordinate subcontractors to ensure correct sequencing and productivity
  • Monitor subcontractor performance and reliability
  • Liaise with suppliers to ensure timely material deliveries
  • Reduce downtime through forward planning and clear communication

Technical, Compliance & H&S

  • Review and interpret architectural and structural drawings
  • Coordinate Building Control and warranty provider inspections
  • Ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and regulations
  • Maintain site health & safety standards, inductions, and RAMS

Communication & Reporting

  • Act as the main point of contact for site-level issues
  • Provide regular progress updates and work alongside the Managing Director and any other senior stakeholders
  • Support client meetings and site walkthroughs when required
  • Escalate issues appropriately with clear options and recommendations

Qualifications

  • 5-10 years’ experience delivering residential construction projects (ideally bespoke new build homes and extension/renovation projects)
  • Joinery/Carpentry background with hands on site and management experience
  • Strong technical knowledge and understanding of all aspects and phases of construction of new build houses and extension/renovation works
  • Positive attitude towards quality, efficiency cost and safety
  • Proven ability to run multiple projects concurrently
  • Strong communicator with clients, sub-contractors, suppliers and professional consultants
  • Ability to read/interpret and deliver on detailed drawings and specifications
