Role Description
This is a full-time role located in the Reading Area (with travel to customer sites nationwide) for an estimator/commercial manager.
Responsibilities include assisting in the preparation, review, and management of tenders and orders.
Attending site surveys and estimating.
Liaising with clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders; ensuring compliance with contractual obligations; monitoring project budgets and timelines; and maintaining clear records of contract correspondence.
The role also involves providing support in negotiations and handling administrative tasks related to contract management, while ensuring adherence to company policies and client requirements.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of estimating, compliance, and documentation
- Estimating with significant use of excel spreadsheets and drawing measurement tools.
- Project management skills, including scheduling, budgeting, and tracking deliverables
- Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in communication, relationship management, and stakeholder engagement
- Attention to detail, accuracy, and capability to analyze and interpret project/order requirements.
- Proficiency in relevant software such as Microsoft Office Suite including MS Project.
- Experience in construction, interior fit-out, or refurbishment sectors.
- Candidates should live within a commutable distance of Reading, Berkshire.
