This is a strategic role where you will work closely with the leadership team to build people systems and help codify our culture, sustaining growth while protecting what makes IF distinctive. You will balance two priorities: what is right for the team and what is right for the business.

You will own the overall people strategy and ensure our approach to hiring, development, and progression reflects our values and supports our commercial goals. You will predominantly work with freelance recruiters to source candidates.

Specific areas of ownership:
  • Recruitment process and strategy: Look at hiring strategy, culture, and standards, partnering closely with our Freelance Talent Acquisition Lead.
  • Learning, development, and progression: Create clear progression frameworks, design and implement our approach to learning and development, and build appraisal and feedback systems.

About you:

Experience: You will have led people strategy in a services environment, ideally a consultancy, agency, or studio. You will have built or significantly shaped people systems during a period of growth and managed recruitment processes end-to-end.

Skills: Strong strategic thinking, excellent judgement, clear communication, and systems thinking.

Attributes: Genuinely interested in what makes organisations healthy and effective, comfortable with ambiguity, values-driven, and curious about what IF does.

Your location: IF is based in London, and we are looking for someone based here or within commutable distance. We are largely a remote-first team.

The hiring process: You will meet one member of the team at each stage. The process includes an introductory call, a detailed interview, and a final chat about your work and motivations.

Salary and benefits: The salary band for this role is 60-80k, with benefits including a time off allowance of 25 days each calendar year, Christmas closure, enhanced parental leave, and a proactive approach to balancing work and life.
