The role involves growing the senior team and furthering our mission of being a force of positive change across our industry. You will help translate IF's vision and expert capabilities into a compelling offering, overseeing projects and working closely with project leads and teams to deliver exceptional work. Additionally, you will own new business and growth efforts and contribute to wider company initiatives, including hiring, team development, and marketing.

Expertise

You will be a practitioner with flexible expertise in product, design, research, strategy, or technology. While not full-time hands-on on projects, you will provide deep thinking, practical support, and leadership, ideally bringing expertise in building trustworthy products and services.

Project delivery

You will strategically guide and support teams through discovery, design, prototyping, and build phases to design impactful products and services that address pressing challenges in technology and society. You will manage trade-offs required to deliver commercially viable and strategically aligned outcomes.

Business development

You will originate and respond to incoming new business, building relationships across industries and widening the reach of the IF brand. You will work with teams to extend work or start new streams, further developing strategic relationships across clients and contributing to IF's thought leadership content.

Your work will define great outcomes at IF, ensuring insights and learnings are shared across the company. You will identify skills and capabilities for our network and permanent hires, coach teams, and drive performance while supporting their progression.

About you

You have a track record of overseeing projects and teams, with demonstrable experience in this area. You understand what it takes to deliver great work and have a proven record of successful business development efforts. You are experienced in running client engagement activities and managing projects, including budgets and resourcing.

You are a low ego, compassionate individual who wants to work hard within an environment that cares about its people and impact. You bring focus and clarity to teams, enabling healthy dynamics and supporting good decision-making.

You are a brilliant communicator, able to craft compelling stories and present work with clarity. You enable critical opinions to surface within the team.

Your location

IF is based in London, and we are looking for someone based here or within commutable distance. We are largely a remote-first team, spending Wednesdays together in a studio next to Hoxton Overground station.

The hiring process

You will meet one member of the team at each stage. An initial 30-minute introductory call will discuss the role and your experience, followed by a 60-minute interview to delve into your background. A take-home task will be followed by a debrief session, and a final 60-minute interview will cover your experience and motivations.

Salary and benefits

The salary band for this role is £110,000. Benefits include a time off allowance of 25 days each calendar year.
