Who are you?

As the UK Insurance Lead, your primary goal will be to shape and execute our insurance go-to-market strategy, drive targeted campaigns, build client relationships, and identify growth opportunities across the UK insurance sector.

With extensive knowledge of the UK insurance market, particularly in general insurance, life insurance, and speciality insurance sectors, you will leverage your expertise to deliver innovative, tailored solutions for our insurance clients, addressing their unique challenges and enabling them to achieve their strategic objectives.

What will you do?

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients within the UK insurance sector and proactively identify new business opportunities.
  • Lead high-profile insurance-related projects, delivering consultancy and advisory services tailored specifically to client needs.
  • Understand client-specific challenges within the insurance and reinsurance landscape and develop customised strategies and solutions.
  • Manage, guide, and build a dedicated team of insurance consultants, providing expertise, leadership, and coaching.
  • Stay informed about industry developments such as digital transformation, insurance technology innovations, and sustainability initiatives.
  • Monitor evolving regulatory frameworks like IFRS 17, regulatory changes, and emerging trends in the UK insurance market, translating this into actionable insights.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations and detailed reports on insurance market trends, regulatory issues, and strategic recommendations to senior stakeholders and clients.
  • Work collaboratively across practices to offer integrated solutions and enhance Projective Group’s market presence within the insurance sector.

  • Extensive experience in the UK insurance industry, ideally within a consultancy or advisory role, with strong commercial acumen across Opportunity, Policy and Claims management.
  • Strong understanding of the UK insurance regulatory environment, including Solvency II / the UK Solvency regime, FCA and PRA insurance supervision, ICOBS, Consumer Duty, and Lloyd’s / London Market requirements where relevant, alongside broader financial services themes such as GDPR, operational resilience, third-party risk management and conduct risk.
  • Proven ability to lead and inspire teams, delivering clear direction, motivation, and effective management.
  • Since our clients are international operators, you should be aware of how the UK insurance sector and London markets are influenced by and affected by the global insurance landscape.
  • Solid analytical, logical, and problem-solving skills, capable of providing practical solutions and strategic insights.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, able to convey complex information effectively to diverse audiences.
  • An entrepreneurial mindset, proactive in identifying market opportunities and committed to driving continuous growth.
  • Established and robust professional network within the UK insurance sector.
