The Role

The Business Development Executive plays a key role within the Commercial Team, supporting the coordination and efficiency of all revenue-generating activities. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and takes pride in maintaining high standards of accuracy, organisation, and client experience.

You will own the administration and coordination of the sales pipeline, ensuring opportunities progress smoothly from initial engagement through to proposal and order.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and maintain accurate sales pipelines using HubSpot, ensuring all opportunities are logged and progressed.
  • Coordinate the timely production and issue of proposals and commercial reports.
  • Ensure commercial data is accurate, accessible, and consistently maintained.
  • Support continuous improvement of commercial processes and client experience.
  • Work closely with Marketing, Operations, and regional Business Development Managers to strengthen client engagement.
  • Distribute sales enablement materials (case studies, insights, thought leadership) at key stages of the client journey.
  • Manage the timely dispatch and tracking of client satisfaction surveys as projects near completion.

Experience & Skills

  • Experience in commercial operations, B2B sales administration, or business support (engineering or professional services experience desirable).
  • B2B sales experience in the engineering, industrial or manufacturing sector preferred.
  • Strong experience using CRM systems, experience in HubSpot essential.
  • Exceptional organisational skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Must be reliable, diligent, trustworthy and be able to work to tight deadlines.
  • Confident managing sales pipelines, reporting, and data accuracy.
  • Must have exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proactive, structured, and process-driven, with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Comfortable working collaboratively across departments in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to work both independently and as part of high performing team.
