Ready to play a leading role in shaping the future of a growing Data Practice? We're looking for a UK Senior Data Lead to join Projective Group's expanding Data Practice. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced consultant who enjoys solving complex client challenges and is ready to expand their leadership role to help strengthen our capabilities, develop consultants, and contribute to the practice's future direction.

You may already be operating as a Principal Consultant, Senior Manager, Associate Director, or Data Lead within a consultancy environment. You've built credibility with clients, delivered successful engagements, and developed confidence to influence beyond project delivery. You've also gained experience supporting business development activities, including client presentations, proposition development, proposal creation, and leading RFP responses.

At Projective Group, we partner with financial services organisations to solve complex challenges across data, transformation, risk, and payments. As our UK Data Practice continues to grow, we're looking for someone who can help shape its future, working closely with our UK Data Practice Lead to strengthen our capabilities, support our consultants, expand client relationships, and deliver meaningful outcomes for financial services clients.

This role sits at the intersection of client delivery, practice development, and consulting leadership. You'll continue to work closely with clients while helping to build the capability, expertise, and community that will support the next phase of growth for our UK Data Practice.

Bring Your Expertise to Life at Projective Group; imagine a day where you:

  • Lead complex data and transformation engagements for financial services clients, helping senior stakeholders navigate challenges and identify opportunities for meaningful change.
  • Act as a trusted advisor, challenging thinking, shaping strategic direction, and ensuring data initiatives remain aligned to business outcomes.
  • Support the growth of the UK Data Practice, contributing ideas, capability development, and new approaches that strengthen our proposition in the market.
  • Partner with account leaders and business development colleagues to identify opportunities, contribute to proposals and RFPs, and support the growth of client relationships.
  • Coach and mentor consultants, sharing expertise, providing guidance, and helping others develop their consulting and delivery capabilities.
  • Work closely with technical and business teams, ensuring solutions remain practical, scalable, and focused on delivering value.
  • Help clients navigate emerging trends and opportunities across data, analytics, AI, and transformation, identifying realistic use cases and pragmatic paths forward.
  • Contribute to the wider Data Practice community through knowledge sharing, thought leadership, collaboration, and helping to strengthen our collective expertise.
  • Build strong relationships across clients and Projective Group, creating an environment where collaboration, challenge, and continuous improvement thrive.

Is this you?

  • Significant experience delivering data, transformation, or consulting engagements within financial services, ideally gained within a consultancy environment.
  • A proven ability to build credibility with senior stakeholders, providing challenge, guidance, and pragmatic solutions to complex business problems.
  • Comfortable operating at the intersection of business and technology, translating strategic objectives into practical delivery outcomes.
  • Experience leading programmes, client engagements, or complex delivery initiatives, with the ability to balance delivery excellence with commercial awareness.
  • A track record of contributing to business development activities, whether through proposal writing, RFP responses, client presentations, or identifying opportunities for growth.
  • Experience coaching, mentoring, and supporting the development of consultants and delivery teams.
  • Strong understanding of how data supports decision-making, transformation, regulatory change, and operational improvement across financial services organisations.
  • Familiarity with data management, analytics, AI, or emerging data capabilities, coupled with the judgment to distinguish genuine opportunities from industry hype.
  • Comfortable working in an entrepreneurial environment where initiative, ownership, and collaboration are valued.
  • Degree educated or equivalent professional experience, with certifications such as Agile, project management, data, or consulting qualifications considered a plus.

Play a key role in shaping the future of a growing UK Data Practice, working closely with senior leaders to influence its direction, capabilities, and long-term success. Lead meaningful engagements for some of the financial services industry's most complex organisations, helping clients navigate transformation, regulatory, and data-driven change. Enjoy the freedom to contribute beyond project delivery, with opportunities to support business development, capability development, strategic initiatives, and the continued growth of the practice. Work in a collaborative environment with minimal organisational hierarchy, where good ideas are valued regardless of job title. Benefit from significant autonomy and trust, with the opportunity to make a visible impact on both client outcomes and the future direction of the practice. Access a generous annual training budget, supporting your ongoing professional, consulting, and leadership development. Join a culture built around entrepreneurship, pragmatism, and collaboration, where people are encouraged to take ownership and help shape the business. Receive a competitive salary, bonus structure, and comprehensive benefits package, including healthcare and pension. Work from our London office in the heart of the city, designed to support collaboration, learning, and connection.

At Projective Group, we celebrate diversity and inclusion. We welcome all candidates across all backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives. If you require any adjustments during the recruitment process, please let us know.
