About the role:
As a Financial Services Data Architect, you will lead the design and delivery of enterprise-level data solutions. Working closely with stakeholders across financial services, you will leverage your expertise to build scalable architectures, optimise data pipelines, and ensure data enables strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implementation of robust, scalable enterprise data architectures.
- Develop and optimise modern data warehousing systems and data models (e.g., dimensional, data vault).
- Build and maintain efficient ETL processes and scalable data pipelines.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate complex data requirements into innovative technical solutions.
- Ensure data quality, governance, and security, aligning with industry and regulatory standards.
- Act as a mentor to junior engineers, sharing expertise and driving best practices.
What we are looking for:
- Previous Financial Services Consultancy experience.
- Experience in data architecture and engineering, with a proven ability to deliver enterprise-level solutions.
- A background in Enterprise Data Architecture and other data-related topics, such as Data Warehousing, Data Management, Data Governance, Data Quality, Data Modelling and Analytics.
- Proficiency in SQL and Python.
- It would be great to have experience with cloud-based data platforms like Snowflake and Databricks or tools like DBT, Fivetran, Dataiku, or Alteryx.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Interest or experience in AI/ML and real-world application to data engineering solutions.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
