At Projecting Success, we’re on a mission to transform how major projects are delivered — across government, infrastructure, defence, and industry. We’re not your typical consultancy. We’re a next-generation professional services company built around a powerful ecosystem that combines training, strategic advisory, technical delivery, and open innovation. Our ambition? To redefine project delivery through data, AI, and a movement of skilled professionals who are ready to think differently — and deliver differently.
At the heart of our approach is a thriving ecosystem:
- We build industry-wide capability through government-funded apprenticeships and training that inspires, upskills, and unlocks new possibilities.
- We partner with forward-thinking organisations to codify what works, embed high-end capabilities, and shape smarter ways of delivering complex projects.
- We support clients with real-world expertise, from variance analytics and risk intelligence to AI strategy and implementation.
- We connect the dots through a growing open-source community, a coalition of change-makers, and a body of thought leadership that challenges the status quo.
This flywheel is gaining momentum — and now we’re looking for a Managing Director to help us scale this model — building the partnerships, systems, and commercial infrastructure to make it fly.
What you’ll be doing
- Commercial growth – developing our tiered services, shaping our value proposition, and converting interest into long-term strategic partnerships
- Client and partner relationships – building high-trust engagement with clients, suppliers, and ecosystem partners who share our mission
- Ecosystem development – strengthening our coalition, community, and networks to amplify national impact and foster cross-organisational learning
- Operational leadership – ensuring the consistent, high-quality delivery of our training, advisory, and technical support services
- Impact and insight – capturing and communicating ROI from project and apprenticeship initiatives, and using insight to shape the future of data-driven project delivery
- Organisational maturity – embedding systems, leadership capacity, and performance visibility to support future strategic investment and succession
- Team leadership – developing a high-performing, values-led team with clear accountability and delivery discipline
- Strategic collaboration – working closely with the CEO to convert vision into traction and help shape the next chapter of the business
- Next phase - Helping to prepare for the next phase of the business growth, including potential external investment.
Who we’re looking for
You’re a commercially focused, people-first leader. You understand how to scale a professional services business, build trusted client relationships, and lead teams through complexity with calm and clarity. You’ve likely led a high-growth consultancy, training provider, or transformation-focused business — and now want to do something that matters. You’re comfortable navigating ambiguity, energised by delivery, and motivated by the opportunity to help shape a future-fit organisation.
What we offer
- A senior leadership role in a nationally recognised mission-driven business
- A unique opportunity to help reshape the UK’s project delivery ecosystem
- A capable and committed team, clear strategy, and credible client base
- Long-term incentive alignment (e.g. EMI or similar structure)
- A platform with momentum, backed by real results and meaningful impact
- Flexibility, autonomy, and the space to lead with purpose
If you're ready to build something that lasts — and lead the next chapter of an ambitious, values-driven business — we’d love to hear from you.
