PURPOSE OF A SECURITY SYSTEMS ENGINEER We are looking for a skilled Security Systems Engineer to join our client’s team. The role involves repairing, installing, and maintaining intruder alarms, access control systems, warden call systems, communal aerials, and CCTV equipment, ensuring all work complies with the Health and Safety at Work Act and relevant industry standards. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF A SECURITY SYSTEMS ENGINEER: Service and install door entry, warden call, automatic door/gate systems, CCTV (including IP/networked), and intruder alarms. Perform planned preventative maintenance on the above systems. Ensure all access control and CCTV work, including tests, inspections, and compliance checks, adheres to current British Standards. Provide daily updates to the supervisor/manager on the status of all works and inform them of any time-scale or resource issues in advance. Carry out other duties as reasonably requested. QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE The ideal candidate will: Have experience in social housing or local authority maintenance. Hold a valid CSCS card. Preferably have experience with manufacturers such as ISM, GDX, ENTROTEC, SML, PAC, KMS, RECORD, GEZE, GALAXY, and TEXECOM (training will be provided). Possess strong communication and analytical skills. Be self-motivated, eager to learn, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team. Full UK driving licence. SALARY/BENEFITS Full-time position with opportunities for overtime and out-of-hours call-outs. Competitive salary ranging from £35,000 to £42,000 per annum, based on experience. 21 days of holiday, increasing by 1 day every 2 years of service, up to a maximum of 25 days, plus statutory holidays.
