STRUCTURAL DESIGN ENGINEER

For our client, access & safety encompasses all type of equipment that allows their engineers to safely access all areas of every kind of building to carry out specialist services – from the testing and certification of roof anchor points to the servicing and maintenance of the world's largest BMU's. Our client employs some of the most highly experienced and qualified engineers in the industry. Their extensive UK coverage ensures they can be mobilised to site to inspect and, if necessary, carry out servicing and remedial works to fall protection equipment to ensure it remain in a safe and fully operational condition. This ensures that all their customers equipment remain 100% safe and reliable. The group has five independent business divisions encompassing facade access and fall arrest equipment services, lightning protection and electrical compliance testing, high level services, fire and security solutions and water treatment and hygiene services.
JOB PURPOSE
This role will be a design based office role required to work as part of a team within our Fall Arrest Installs Division, working through schematic ideas through to a calculated solution within the fall arrest sector. This role is focusing predominantly on the technical aspects of the FAI drawings for works.
JOB SPECIFICATION
Structural Design Calculations, you will be required to prepare the calculations and provide your official stamp/signature for authenticity.
Provide product drawings/Tech-Sub Sheets.
Working with Manufacturers to develop solutions.
Upload drawings and documents to client portals.
Provide GA Plan/ Elevation Drawings with setting out datum.
2D AutoCAD & 3D Inventor competent.
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE
Qualified to MEng (preffered) BEng (Minimum)
Applicants must be conversant with the following software as a minimum – Autodesk, Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD, Outlook & Microsoft office.
Full UK Driving Licence
SALARY/BENEFITS
£42,000-£45,000 DOE
