Our client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Electrical Maintenance Engineer to carry out mobile maintenance works in the North West. Their client base includes but is not limited to commercial office blocks, industrial units, retail, and student accommodation.

We are looking for a candidate who has knowledge of electrical systems and over 5 years’ experience in a similar Electrical/HVAC/Maintenance Engineer type role. Please note there may be a requirement for nights away on occasion.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform routine and reactive maintenance on electrical systems.
  • Deliver planned preventative maintenance and responsive repair services for electrical installations, including internal and external lighting, emergency lighting, and distribution boards.
  • Diagnose faults, repair, replace, and upgrade lighting, wiring, and electrical components, ensuring compliance with BS 7671.
  • Conduct electrical testing, rewires, and emergency lighting maintenance.
  • Handle basic mechanical PPMs.
  • Maintain fire alarms, security systems, and automated controls.
  • Ensure all work meets health and safety standards, keeping accurate maintenance records.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Approved Electrical Apprenticeship – Minimum requirement.
  • 18th Edition – Essential.
  • 2391 Testing & Inspection – Beneficial.

SALARY & BENEFITS

  • Up to £40k - £42,000.
  • Call out rota & allowance.
  • Overtime x 1.5 and x 2 on weekends.
