Our client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Electrical Maintenance Engineer to carry out mobile maintenance works in Edinburgh and surrounding areas. Their client base includes but is not limited to commercial office blocks, industrial units, retail, and student accommodation.
We are looking for a candidate who has knowledge of electrical systems and over 5 years’ experience in a similar Electrical / HVAC / Maintenance Engineer type role.
- Perform routine and reactive maintenance on electrical and HVAC systems, including AHUs, FCUs, chillers, boilers, and pumps.
- Diagnose faults, repair, replace, and upgrade lighting, wiring, and electrical components, ensuring compliance with BS 7671.
- Conduct electrical testing, rewires, and emergency lighting maintenance.
- Handle mechanical and plumbing tasks, including pump repairs, pipework, and water heating systems.
- Maintain fire alarms, security systems, and automated controls.
- Ensure all work meets health and safety standards, keeping accurate maintenance records.
Qualifications:
- Approved Electrical Apprenticeship – Minimum requirement.
- 2391 Testing & Inspection – Beneficial.
- F-Gas & ODS Regulations (C&G 2079-11) – Advantageous.
